Hey my lovelies,
It's so very nearly December and with the smell of cinnamon and spiced apple is already drifting through my house, yes, I've been baking. In this quick lil' post, we thought w'd both style a collar while layering up as many thermals an jumpers we could find. We both went for different looks, but both quite smart and cutesy. Paloma, although she hates ginger with a passion, popped some gingerbread stud earrings on her collar tips to give that 'waiting for Christmas' twist :)
I decided to go for a pinafore and 'old school' t-bar shoes, which remind me of my primary-school days.

With UCAS so very nearly done for me, it's becoming more and more real that i'll be going to university next year (fingers crossed). It's ridiculously exciting but such a daunting prospect and I really don't want to think about leaving my friends. Enough sadness though, I cant wait for this new chapter in our lives to start.

Before we're off we've got to go on a girls holiday! We're all planning on going to Benicassim Festival in Barcelona next summer, anyone got any plans...we know its horrifically far in advance, but it's cheaper this way and we can't retain our excitement.

Hey everyone!

November is nearly over- where does the time go?! Jess and I are starting to look more like twins than ever before, both walking into school today (coincidently) sporting fur headbands, but who cares when you are so snug! Plus my ears always freeze so a furry headband is a must have on my winter wish list. Jess has also invested in this gorgeous furry snood from River Island...oh so snug!

What has everyone been watching lately? We are off to see 'Catching Fire' on Wednesday, but as we both cried a little (read: hysterically) at the first film we are a little worried there may be a repeat! Has anyone seen it yet? Tissues needed?

Hey guys :)

How are you all?
Here is a quick little post of what we wore yesterday to Sixth Form. It's so chilly that is becoming almost impossible to take off our coats to take some snaps of our outfits. It's about to get even colder as we are both heading down to Bristol next weekend to Paloma's sister's 20th birthday party. There is a dress-up theme (we do love fancy dress) and it's music lyrics. Paloma's thinking of coming as Milk and Black spiders (a kind of milkmaid with spiders hanging off her, so cool), and I on the other hand am clueless on what to wear…help! I really need some ideas :)

Speak to you all soon, Jess xxx

Jumper and skirt- Primark, Boots- Topshop, Tights-New Look, Snood-Miss Selfridge

Hey everyone,

With winter slapping us in the face all of a sudden and brisk winds catching us off guard we have been loving some of the more snugly of AW13 trends, in particular knitwear. Jess matched her grey snood to some chunky knitted tights from New Look., which she thought were too out there but I definitely disagree! I went with some trusty tartan, to be honest I look like a school girl but it was quite nice pretending to be back in uniform for the day! Sometimes I miss not having to think up new outfits everyday, but that wish doesn't last!

Ahh so excited! Arctic Monkeys have announced two dates for London next year, we are treating ourselves as we have never seen them live before. Anyone been to any good gigs recently?!

The Coat Edit

I am wearing - Snood - Miss Selfridge, Coat - H&M, Boots - Topshop
Paloma is wearing - Collar - H&M, Coat - Therapy, Pumps - Forever 21

Hey guys!
Sorry it's been a while, believe me, it's been one stressful week :( Not to mention how freezing it's suddenly become! It's like the arctic here in London. The single positive we can find for this weather (excluding the run-up to christmas) is the fact that we can finally wrap up warm in our snuggly coats.

Everywhere you look as a blogger to research new trends, every catwalk will always style a range of coats for their AW13 collections. I've been doing some intense research to find out the coat trends this year. By the looks of it, it's either a boxy sixties-style coat, or a coat with heavy lapels, nipped in at the waist with a belt or tie. Both are so ladylike in their own way, so Paloma and I are super-happy, as androgynous or oversized really isn't our thing :)
Collars of any sort are on trend, a peter pan like Paloma's detachable or a typical lapel, they are a must this season. Detatchable collars are everywhere at the moment, I came across a faux fur drape in Topshop for £25, might have a go at a DIY one, we shall see ;)

So get out there browsing! There are so many replicas on the highstreet, and plenty of faux furs, what do you think of the fur coat?

Hey all!

November has brought with it rain in bucket loads, and whilst I love wrapping up warm and layering during the winter months wet weather is something I definitely do not look forward too (cue frizz and hood hair!) These photos were taken on a rainy walk in Hyde Park with my mum, visiting the Pavilion at the Serpentine Gallery- it was so nice!

It is so odd to think that we are just over a month away from Christmas- and yes the weather outside is frightful- too early to be cracking out the Christmas related puns... maybe? Me and Jess are planning on having a Christmas party, so are already having a browse at the best party dresses around!

Any thoughts on the best Christmas party dress?

We fell in love, alone on a stage

Reflektor- Arcade Fire

Dress- Topshop, Shoes- Primark

Hey everyone,

Here are our outfits that we wore on Friday to our friend's 18th! We both wore dresses from Topshop (just a coinsedence we promise!) It was a really good evening but made us both feel so young (especially Paloma being an august baby!). It sparked a few ideas for our 18th. Yes, we're doing a joint party, believe me, it's expected amongst our friends! To fancy dress or not to fancy dress, that is the question. What do you all think!

Parties on the brain right now though, who's feeling festive already?! I am! I love christmas, everyone is always chirpier, the christmassy baking, the constant smell of cinnamon and crisp cold air which turns your fingertips into icicles. This has got Paloma and I thinking about hosting a Christmas party, of course...fancy dress-up! Turn my lil house into a winter wonderland and bake til my hearts content with yule logs and mountains of mince pies! Oh god, i'm getting carried away aren't I ... oops, we've still got November to get through first :)

Speak to you all soon my loves, Jess xxx

Hey all,

Picture heavy post time (had to be done, to make up for our absence of fashiony posts!) Yesterday me and Jess were invited to attend the opening of Mascotte's flagship store in Westfield, London. It was definitely not an opportunity to be missed as with the cold weather creeping in we were desperate to get our AW13 fix! And we were in for a treat.

For those who aren't familiar with the brand, Mascotte is a luxury shoes and accessories store, with pricing lying somewhere between Office and Russell and Bromley it's worth a look. Definitely a pit stop if you are looking for some warm, furry boots that will last you through the winter! (um yes please). It was a really fun event, made even better with some complimentary bubbly and the best shortbread biscuits I have ever eaten!
