Wimbledon :)

 Hey Everyone!
Yesterday we went on a day tripto Wimbledon to watch the tennis. Wimbledon is England's biggest Tennis championship and we really wanted to check it out! We queued for a couple of hours in the morning sun and the time flew by. We were ticket number six thousand and something but we still managed to get in which was great! It was so gorgeous inside the grounds and there were so many people :)

We watched a match on court 19, Troicki v Klizan, it was so exciting and the atmosphere was amazing (even though you have to stay pretty quiet during the match, there were several 'ooohs' and 'ahhs' at the exciting parts in the game and everyone was so nice!)  Also, what made it even better is that I am hopeless at tennis, (and most other sports as well!) so bad, that I can barely hit a ball so watching how fast these guys could hit the ball was AMAZING! But sadly the rain came, and play was suspended for a couple of hours(not that we wern't expecting it, wimbledon is famous for its rain after all!, so it added to the experience :)) Troicki won the game, so we were all happy, and it was a great end to an amazing day!

'We Grew Up at Midnight'- The Maccabees

Hey All! This has to be the longest we have gone without writing a post! and it feels awlful! These past two weeks has been crammed with exams and a final push for revision, but, summer has officially begun! and exams are over! YAY, loads more blog posts to come!

Two weeks ago now, me and Jess went to see The Maccabees performing at Ally Pally, it was the most amazing experience and when we came out we were buzzing and literally didn't want it to end! I have never been to Alexandra Palace before, but it was such a  great venue and amazing atmosphere! We were at the very front and really recommend the support acts, Baxter Dury and British Sea Power. The Maccabees were so good live, even better than they are on CD- if thats even possible! There was a giagantic mosh though, so we had to move back a little to have a breather!

Look out for upcoming posts! Hopefully we will pick up some bargains on the weekend in the sales and also in Portebello (we can't get enough of the place!!

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm looking forward to the football Euro Quarter- finals, who is everyone backing? xxPaloma xx

God save the Queen...Congratulations Queen Liz!

Hey you lush lot :)
Happy belated Diamond Jubilee!! Wasn't it amazing! The way the UK celebrated the Queen's reign was fantastic, there was bunting, flags, street parties and concerts.

Paloma and I did a lot this weekend as we are both passionate about our country. We were invited to our friend Mollie's street party, which was so much fun. After eating lots and lots and drinking some cider and pimms (its a celebration!), we danced to some old tunes in the rain and tried apple bobbing, that's why we're soaked!

Paloma's amazing union jack cake, my puff pastry tarts and Mollies lush cupcakes :)

On Tuesday, i invited a few friends around to my house to celebrate the Jubilee in our own way. We danced and sang (and annoyed the neighbours :P), went for a walk in the park in the rain, watched Captain America while eating a little more (the ending is terrible!), played some Zumba on the Wii and finally played a board game like true Brits :)

Hope you had an amazing Jubilee weekend, what did you all do?? Love you all lots,
Jess xxxx
