I changed my clocks to your time and I let the jet lag set in

'Upset Boulevard'- Spector

Hey all!

Hope you had a great christmas, and have enjoyed the past couple of days (over-eating!) Me and Jess met up for a coffee and a much needed chat, here are some photos of what we wore. We are styling the pastel trend, as part of our 'Twist on the Trend Feature' along with some of our favourite bloggers. It was quite a challenge trying to channel these bright colours into winter, but added colour to a winter wardrobe!

I was very very lucky to get a camera for christmas, its a Sony A37 DSLR and I love it, just getting the hang of it for the moment, but really enjoying experimenting with it, anyone got any good shooting tips?

Lots of love, Paloma xxx

They who are my army, the wall of arms around me- Twist on the Trend

Wall of arms- The Maccabees

Hey everyone! Heres the third 'Twist on the trend' to feature on our blog, this week we chose to style the A/W 2012 trend of leather, something which I previously would have been too scared to try!

Leather is huge for autumn, with everything leather from skirts to jackets popping up on the highstreet. It was a great trend to style, have a look at how the other girls styled it over on their blogs! Definitely worth a read :)

More on how we styled the trend:

Jess is wearing: Top- New Look, Leggings- H&M, Boots- Primark, Jacket- F&F
Paloma is wearing: Shirt (worn underneath)- H&M, Jumper- Mercer and Madison, Leggings- H&M, Chelsea Boots- Primark

Neither me or Jess have really attempted the leather trend before now, so were really excited to try and have a go at styling it!

Jess went for a monochrome, teaming her bold print top with boots and a leather jacket, creating a great autumn look.

I wore my leather-esque leggings and new purchase chelsea boots(I have been looking for a pair for ages!) with a collar and box jumper to give the look a more casual feel :)

How has eveyones week been? No Great British bake-off has finished- what do I do with myself on tuesday evenings now?! I think this may call for some therapy baking!
I also got the cutest little hamster last week, she is called Ayla, after one of my favourite songs by the Maccabees :)

Twist On The Trend - First Love, Last love, Only love, it's only love

 3) Rachel from A Girl from the Countryside, 4) Jane from The Tale of Two Buttons

First Love- The Maccabees

Hey everyone!

Here is this week's Twist on the Trend (where a bunch of us bloggers style the same trend in different ways!). This weeks trend was Band tees, which I absolutely love! And looking at how well the other girls styled them, they are definitely a versatile item and a must have in any wardrobe! (and they have such good music taste!)

Paloma is wearing a T-shirt which she made herself using fabric pens. It has the lyrics on it from her favourite song, First Love by The Maccabees.
Vest top-Forever 21, Maxi skirt- Peacocks, Shoes- Primark.

Jess is wearing a Vaccines tshirt which she bought from their online merchandise store (it had a picture of the Vaccines on it and is from one of their tours...they are amazing!)
Top- Vaccines Merchandise, Trousers- New Look, Cardigan- River Island, Shoes- Primark.

Band t-shirts is a major trend this season. Whether it's Ramones, Nirvana or The Rolling Stones, vintage band t's are perfect for this chilly but not freezing weather, when you cant be bothered to make an effort but still want to look casual-cool. These can be teamed with anything from slouch jeans to maxi skirts depending on the look you're going for.
What are you waiting for???? Go out and get one as they NEVER go out of fashion :)

Loads of love, Jess and Paloma :) xxx

Twist on The Trend- Berry Shades

Hey everyone!

Today is the start of an exciting feature on our blog, called
'Twist on the Trend'

Me and Jess have wanted to collaborate with other bloggers for a while and we came up with an idea which would be a great way of showing how different bloggers are styling the same trend.

We asked five of some of our favourite bloggers to be part of a group, and every fornight we are going to chose a different trend and see how everyone styles it.

For the first trend, as we are slowly coming into autumn we thought that it would be a great chance to style one of autumn's colour trends 'berry shades'.

Here is a peek of everyone's berry shade outfits, Be sure to check out how they  styled the trend on their blogs :)

1) Lizzie from Dust on the Ground, 2) Rachel from A Girl from the Countryside
7) Bree from The Urban Umbrella

Here is more on how we styled the trend:

Me and Jess went into town yesterday, because it was such a nice day, and after our first week back at college we needed a break.

We sat by the river and watched a live band, people were even giving out free cupcakes- could the day of been any better!

We loved styling the berry shade trend, and definitely continue to style the trend all through autumn- its so versatile and it has a real autumnal feel to it too!

I am wearing, Shirt- H&M, Jeans- River Island, Shoes- Deichmann, Bag- Primark, Belt- ZARA

Jess is wearing: Shirt- DIY, Skirt- Primark, Belt- H&M, Shoes- F&F, Nail Varnish- Rimmel lasting finish in Purple Pulse

Hope you enjoyed the feature! We would love to hear your thoughts, and what trends you will be styling in autumn?

Love, Paloma xxx
